Stockholm Exergi invests in the LineLazer shaft alignment system from SPM

Swedish public utility company Stockholm Exergi has selected the wireless laser alignment system LineLazer from SPM to enhance the shaft alignment of its machines.

Shaft alignment is a crucial aspect of preventive machine maintenance, as it helps reduce wear, prevent downtime and breakdowns, and extend the life of bearings and couplings, both during new installations and as an ongoing routine over time.

LineLazer is developed by SPM and manufactured at the company's headquarters and factory in Strängnäs, delivering products and systems to customers worldwide.

The system features dual measuring units with a line laser for fast and reliable shaft alignment, making it suitable for most machine combinations, including horizontal, vertical, or flange-mounted configurations with coupled or uncoupled shafts. Together with the LineLazer app for Windows, iOS, and Android, the measuring units form a user-friendly system for smooth shaft alignment with maximum precision.

The order also includes high-quality stainless steel shims and on-site training for a large group of mechanics at the combined heat and power plants in Högdalen and Hammarby in the southern parts of Stockholm. Delivery and training are conducted through SPM Academy Sweden.

Stockholm Exergi ensures the delivery of heating, cooling, electricity, and waste management to residents, hospitals, data centers, and companies in the city of Stockholm.
